On Monday, July 23, wildfires ravaged the Northeastern Attica coastline. The devastating fires left over 80 people dead, hundreds injured and countless missing. In one night human lives were lost and homes turned into ashes. Monday’s tragedy is being described as the worst to hit the continent since the second world war. During these difficult times, as fellow humans we stand side by side and offer a helping hand to those who are affected. As athletes of SwimmingClub.gr, we participate in three National and International races in July and August 2018. Every mile we swim, bike and run is dedicated to the affected people.
· Ironman 70.3 Gdynia, Poland (Nikolaos Simantiras)
· IronMan 70.3 World Championship, South Africa (Stavros Panagopoulos)
· Swim Around Spetses (19km), Greece (Nikolaos Simantiras)
We participate in the races with aim to raise funds for the support of the fire victims.
